The Environmental Unit works for a good built environment and a healthy and safe living environment. The unit operates for the Building and Environmental Committee, which is shared by two municipalities, Gislaved and Tranemo.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an environmental officer who enjoys conducting inspections, meeting people, and contributing to community benefit. You will conduct inspections at sewage treatment plants, industrial workshops, plastic facilities, car washes, and more. You will handle incoming applications, notifications, and referrals.

For an officer with experience in the field, there is some opportunity to specify job responsibilities based on experience and preferences.

Qualifications

You should have a relevant scientific degree or equivalent. You have knowledge of how different activities can impact the environment. You need to have a good understanding of environmental legislation and administrative law. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is necessary. You should have a professional demeanor and a good ability to structure and prioritize your tasks. Experience from similar work is an advantage.

Your collaboration is deeply connected to your ability to cooperate and participate in your and the organization’s development.
